What was left out on purpose
- Cordless drill — a corded impact drill does more for less until you know you need to work away from power. Add a 16 V or 20 V drill later.
- Welding machine, cut-off saw, miter saw — trade-specific; buy when a job pays for it.
- A 9" grinder — heavy and tiring; the 4.5" covers 90% of work.
Two upgrades that pay back fastest
- Auto-darkening welding mask if you weld at all (SAR 139).
- SDS-Plus bit set 10 pcs (RH-5048, SAR 79) so the rotary hammer is never waiting for a bit.
